The story behind Bruecke to Heaven:

This painting depicts areas of Florida where Whitetail deer thrive, most notably, in the panhandle region. Deer around the southern part of the state are often Key Deer, which are much smaller cousins of the Whitetail. Cleared areas quickly grow up with palmetto bushes which provide excellent cover for deer and other wildlife, as is seen here.
